The Journey Behind Hegge’s Taxi Service

Jason Hegge, the proud owner of Hegge’s Taxi Service, started this company in June 2025 with one mission — to make transportation safe, dependable, and affordable for everyone

Before founding the taxi service, Jason worked in construction, building docks, remodeling homes, and operating heavy machinery. After facing health challenges, he had to leave that career behind. For several years, he was out of work, and during that difficult time, his oldest son stepped in to support him

Wanting to create a safer future and lessen the burden on his family, Jason sold off his construction equipment and invested in vehicles to begin Hegge’s Taxi Service. His inspiration came after witnessing heartbreaking news stories about drunk driving accidents and crimes involving unmarked cars.

Jason promised himself that his taxis would be clearly marked, safe for all ages, and reliable for every trip  whether it’s a grocery run, a work commute, a hospital visit, or airport travel to Brunswick County
